A safe space for GSRM (Gender, Sexual, and Romantic Minority) folk to discuss their lives, issues, interests, and passions. LGBT is still a popular term used to discuss gender and sexual minorities, but all GSRM are welcome beyond lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people who consent to participate in a safe space

Persecution by religious extremists is one of the few places "slippery slope" arguments make sense.

If they say their religious text being against LGBTQ issues means they have to be against it too...

Well, there's a whole bunch of really fucked up shit in all the major religious texts. Especially the Abrhamic ones.

So they're either lying, or there's a lot more shit they're just waiting to force on everyone else.

You could be straight as an arrow, but you probably don't want your parents deciding who you'll marry based on how many goats they'll get.

Or them taking it all the way back to Abraham himself and saying if a father hears a voice saying "kill your family" you're supposed to fucking listen to it. Never forget that's the starting point of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

A schizophrenic who killed his brother and stopped from killing a son at the last possible moment.

It's pretty easy, just imagine a perfect world.

See it’s not really a slippery slope argument though. It’s kind of like the pro life crowd. Saying if they get one thing that it will lead to others isn’t a slippery slope, it’s that we know the ultimate goal. Zero abortion for any reason. There is no assumption of it cascading, it’s understanding that it’s a stepping stone because their intentions are very clear. This is the same with anti-LGBT folks. They just want LGBT people to not exist. Whether that means they want to be able to pretend they don’t exist or other more heinous intentions such as “conversion” or even death, we know the ultimate goal. Zero rights, zero representation, and zero reminder they exist.

TL;DR: The laws these groups want to pass are the first or second of many. It’s a march towards a clear end goal. We don’t need to argue that’s it’s a slippery slope because they’ve clearly laid out the theoretical path they want to take.

"is the world better off without me" checklist:

  1. Are you Adolf Hitler?
  2. If previous answer was no: Are you Joseph Stalin?
  3. If previous answer was no; The world is better with you.

What about Mao, Franco and Mussolini?

I mean we can keep adding to this list to an obnoxious degree. The joke was sufficient as is. It’s doubtful they omitted them because they don’t think they’re bad people lol

Some things need timing to work. Adding more and more bad people to the list would have ruined the little thing I did there, wouldn't it?

You might want to reserve judgment until you've smelt the aftermath of one of my BMs.

Amen, amen, amen.🌈

Now if we could convince conservatives to not kill us, that'd be great.

Never again! We exist! We matter!

Here's the important part... it's all normal.

And there's no definition of normal. We're all just trying to find happiness.
