Damn, I knew the moon was just a slice of cheese, but I didn't know that neutron stars were a dairy product, as well. The universe really hates lactose intolerant people.

Lactose fuels the universe.

It’s where the ‘lactic’ part of galactic comes from.

I'm galactose intolerant and I just eated 10 million stars and 10 quadrillion tons of space dust (my tummy hurts 🤧)

Omg are you Sagittarius A* ?! Such an honor to meet you here!

I got bloated now my tummy is defined with a Schwarzchild radius :(

It's called "the milky way" for a reason.

I'll be fine, I took a lactase tablet twenty minutes ago.

maybe they should’ve been a little more tolerant if they didn’t want to engulfed by a giant ball of plasma

a dying neutron star

A Black Dwarf is a thing, but not yet.

Edit: nope, White Dwarfs have a different evolution path.

Btw, what hapens with a pulsar after he's done pulsing?

If cooling down counts as dying. They don't produce heat or have much activity at all

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

They're still neutron stars though. As far as we know the only ways for a neutron star to stop being a neutron star is for enough stuff to fall into them that they collapse into a black hole, two merge to become a black hole, or if they get eaten by a black hole. Otherwise neutron stars are just about the most stable things in the universe.

Interestingly enough, the inner Layers of a neutron star are commonly modeled to have a temperature of 0K, since the extreme density prevents thermal movements

Original joke was something specific to lactose intolerance, like milk or yogurt. This anti-joke just replaces it with something that would destroy them like that regardless of their lactose bigotry.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

lactose bigotry.

How is it bigotry to be lactose intolerant when it's not a choice any individual can make? Being lactose tolerant isn't even a trait shared by half the world's adult population.

It's a joke about intolerance

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

Tolerance of intolerance is intolerance!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

I appreciate the deep layers of jokes lul.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 7 months ago

My guess is that it's an anti-joke. A dying neutron star will destroy anyone no matter what you can or can't digest.
