Backup plan. Take a length of fibre cable with you. When you get lost burry the cable and sone fuckwit with a backhoe will dig it up and you can follow them to society.

[–] Jasonw911 8 points 9 months ago

As an electrician, this is true.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 9 months ago (2 children)

But now you're stuck in the woods with a libertarian. You're worse off than before.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Only if you rule out cannibalism.

[–] Event_Horizon 11 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Don't eat libertarians. They're full of parasites and taste horrible

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago

Nuh uh. Parasites violate the NAP and therefore do not exist in Libertarian society.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago

By speaking aloud in the woods I have mixed my labor with the land, and am therefore entitled to claim ownership. The libertarian is obliged to respect my private property and vacate the area before they violate the NAP by trespassing. By claiming the woods, I'm also no longer lost: I'm home.

It's how you summon Ron Swanson.

[–] doingthestuff 5 points 9 months ago

I'm not Ron Swanson but my moustache was twitching. But since I'm here I'll just say that there's nothing that Government can't make worse.

Or you could talk about Biden and a random tankie will show up to tell you not to vote.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

no one is saying not to vote.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

lol…. You’re new here, aren’t you?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

no. but it would be quite easy to disprove me.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago (19 children)

ROFL… it’s easy to prove. Find a post about something either good or bad that Biden has done. More than likely, you’ll find one of these trolls whining about gEnOciDe jOe and spreading misinformation. I’m not naming names, but there are quite a few very well known trolls that frequent political communities.

Don’t bother looking in posts about Trump though. For some reason, lemmy “socialists” only seem to hate Biden. My theory’s is that they know no one here is voting for that piece of shit, so there’s no point in trying to convince anyone to, but they can help by convincing liberals/democrats to not vote to “send a message” thereby helping trump win 2024.

If the point is missed, yes- I’m accusing most of these “socialists” of being right-wing propaganda trolls.

What would make a transcendentalist appear and convince you to just stay lost?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago

go to a hot dog stand and order one with everything

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

What if I don‘t believe in the existence of libertarians?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

Dear libertarian: if taxes are theft, what do you think of surplus value?

Ownership is only achieved through violence, or the implied availability of violence. Collective or otherwise

[–] General_Effort 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

One can't help but wonder if people here have sophisticated ideas on Proudhon, or just really no clue at all about anything.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Are you talking about me or about the people up and downvoting my comment?

I wouldn't call my knowledge about Proudhon sophisticated and I'm not interested in him enough to investigate further. At one point, I tried to read the book where the quote is from, but didn't get far. The introduction and the comparison with slavery is murder is the most important thing I think and after that, well, I really tried.

[–] General_Effort 1 points 9 months ago

The downvoters. (I'm in the same position on Proudhon.)
