yeah this is what I mean though and took it to be what he meant. code itself becomes irrelevant. I know tons of people who take coding classes and students who ask if you need to learn math to code and are told no. I don't consider myself a coder because to me I script and I always move the goalpost for deciding when im really coding.

I thought this had been going on for awhile now with computers identifying potential targets:

"The object recognition algorithms are used to identify potential targets. Humans then operate weapons systems. The US has reportedly used the software to identify enemy rockets, missiles, drones, and militia facilities."

100% agree here. There is so much fud about taxes but if you look at our history, especially since reagan. tax cuts result in a worse economy and raising them improves it a lot for the modest increases we had.

my feeling is rather than making housing projects the government contracts with companies to provide a room, facilities, and a cafeteria somewhat like a college dorm if you had a single and that would be the amount of UBI. Folks can then sign up at one of those if they need to but they could also just get a roomate in a standard rental situation or whatever. Or they might make some money and afford something better. Keep in mind UBI is not just extra money all around. Someone like me who is doing alright would be paying as much in tax as I get back. But if I lose my job, or become disabled, or just need to retire. It would be there immediately. Obsiously folks like musk and bezos would pay way more in taxes than they would ever get back but they would still get it.

yeah to some degree. you would not get it if incarcerated or such but is it really more control than the economic system already inflicts on us? I don't think so.

I could see a situation where logic and math classes were all that was needed because the ai could interpret the code for what the logic required was.

It still encourages it as a variety of parts can be internal and thus cheaper. Just not the whole thing although honestly I don't see encouraging car manufacturing as an important part. It should be to encourage local commerce. As you said making a silicon foundry is expensive and we are now desperate to get them made here because our laws did not encourage it previously.

every canidate must submit video evidence of their act of fellatio on victor or vlad.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

yes. thats the point. we would not have such a wide area of discount. Only whats truly local.

Im not waiting but im not sacrificing better in the hopes worse will lead to even better. Personally I far prefered biden, obama, over trump and I think your perspective would be a bit different if you experience bush, bush2, and reagan. ill take slightly better now over maybe somehow worse will get us to magically transform to way better.

Question is in title. My searching is actually rather disturbing this morning as the results are fillled with industry fud and not what im looking for. What im really trying to find is a graph of oil produced historically because I recall we used to get something like a 50 barrel return but now we get single digits.

Edited - thanks for the info. kbin has an issue or at least my account does for some magazines where I can't see any replies when logged in so I can see it from a non logged in browser but can't reply so im replying in my post. EROI fits what I was looking for but if anyone finds a nice historical chart for it specifically with oil that would be great but with the EROI term I think I will be able to find it.

I tend to use maps from a search browser and it suddenly occurred to me that if the search engine I used defaulted to open street maps I would use it. Do any search engines default map searches to open street maps?

Will the index headset work standalone? When I look at the site it still lists the base stations as a requirement but looking at the base station it seems like those are for the controller.

Cybersecurity employee training that includes chatbots? I know, I know. I should ask this in technology or something but what im really looking for is more business related. Im looking for those duh, duh, kind of employee training but updated with the dangers of chatbots. Things like don't paste in private or confidential data, don't trust its answers are right, ask questions generally and move down to specifics, etc. etc. And yes I did ask a chatbot for the answer.

Chicken grown from animal cells, not from slaughtered birds, can now be sold in the U.S. The Agriculture Department issued approvals Wednesday to California firms Upside Foods and Good Meat to sell the products, known as “lab-grown” or “cultivated” meat. The meat is grown in steel tanks, using cells that come from a living animal, a fertilized egg or a special bank of stored cells. The goal is to eliminate harm to animals and drastically reduce the environmental impacts of raising them. The meat will initially be sold only at upscale restaurants.

Cultivating 1 million km2 of the most productive exclusive economic zones, which are in the equatorial Pacific, could produce 1 Gt of seaweed carbon per year; however, beyond these productive waters carbon harvest efficiency drops dramatically, according to global dynamic seaweed growth simulations.
