Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

A pensioner has been caught on CCTV apparently spraying the word ‘b******’ onto the plinth holding a statue of Margaret Thatcher, Britain’s first female prime minister.

...

Its installation was controversial and it has been egged and spat on – with some jokers even marking the statue as a public toilet on Google Maps.

Cool. Crime but who cares.

Now the important question. Who the fuck paid 300k for a statue of her.

If public funds were involved. That's a fucking hanging offence.

If not. Tut tut typical sign of tory refusal to invest in mental health.

That's a bargain price for a public toilet these days.

Yeah but when you shift in a public toilet. It takes it away.

So unless they gave they statue a realistic digestive tract.

Its a useless waste.

Someone marked the statue as a public toilet on google maps, now that is kinda funny

That lady (the pensioner, not Thatcher) deserves either a rise in her state pension and/or a New Year honour, perhaps a Baroness....?

Replace the public urinal this pensioner graffitied with a statue in her honor.

Imagine building a statue to Margaret Thatcher in 2022

Not all heroes use zimmer frames. But some do.

Would love to be a pensioner able to do petty crime with little repurcussions

From the article:

A pensioner has been caught on CCTV apparently spraying the word ‘b******’ onto the plinth holding a statue of Margaret Thatcher, Britain’s first female prime minister.

Then the photo shows the word ending in a D

So what’s the word? Blowhard? Behead? Bedraggled?

What did the pensioner say?

Bastard I guess

[–] [email protected] 10 points 10 months ago (2 children)

The rude word is given as:

‘b******’

I'm guessing it's ‘bollock’.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 10 months ago

Probably BASTARD since we see D.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 months ago

Definitely more probable than 'boobies'

[–] [email protected] 6 points 10 months ago

Incredibly based

[–] [email protected] 6 points 10 months ago

More of this please!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 months ago

Someone mail her more spray paint.
Better yet, have 20 gallons of magenta paint delivered to her.
We must encourage this new genre of art!

Feels a bit late to be protesting her

[–] HonoraryMancunian 16 points 10 months ago (1 children)

But a fair time to protest the statue of her

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 months ago

That's true
