Well personally I lost a lot of trust in the European Commission since it came out they tried to influence the opinion of the dutch citizens with regards to the chat control law. thereby breaking their own laws. That they keep trying to push chat control through also doesn't help.

When all other avenues are blocked, (like they are, don't pretend the average person has any recourse) it becomes an option

They think it's their right do screw over all those people, they don't see anything wrong with it, that's why they are surprised
