In what can only be called a significant lack of self-awareness, New York U.S. Rep. George Santos, the serial fabulist under federal indictment on fraud charges, is crying foul.

"I never thought leopards would eat MY face," sobs Santos, who voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party

Surprized there isn't a lemmy community for that yet. This fits the bill.

They're a bunch of gay fools who think that the Republi-nazis will treat them like "one of the good ones" once the Republi-nazis start the dictatorship they want to turn the US into.

“I used to think he was a great governor,” Santos remarked, The Hill reports. “Now, I’m starting to think differently.”

Wow- harsh words.

"Is that what being misled feels like? Wow, that's awful! People who mislead others are terrible people," he added.

I wonder if he knows who Ernst Rohm is.

[–] barrio_libre 8 points 1 year ago

Seems unlikely. He doesn’t even know who Ron DeSantis is.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

a bigoted republican? Wut! This has me so shocked.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

I don't like that he still gets a platform. He has proven that not only doesn't he act on his words, but his words can't even hold some simple evidence or any kind of resemblance of truth. We can't even trust him to say basic facts, so his words are no more meaningful than a small breeze at sea. He's a pathological liar and that should be the last kind of news we should see about him.

This is like in The Simpsons, when Nelson points to himself in a mirror and laughs, then realizes it's him and that it hurts.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

And we can believe him, right? Why would he lie?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

That flash followed by the loud pop you all just heard was the sound of my irony meter giving up the ghost.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

It is a rare feat to be as full of shit as this Santos fellow.
You could probably use him as an emergency reserve of manure for several years without depleting a notable fraction of what he's made of.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

something something lepoards

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Santos is really going to be upset about DeSantis' view of NCAA champions

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Shocked! Yes, shocked I am that homophobia is going on here!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Who's ready for the story arc when he decides he is in fact super fabulous and can't understand why no one on the other side takes him seriously for half a year before deciding he was never gay and infact the most manly man in the totally straight GOP man club?

[–] xc2215x 1 points 1 year ago

No clue what George was expecting.

[–] AFKBRBChocolate 1 points 1 year ago

At this point, they should only report something Santos says if it turns out to be true.

[–] [email protected] -3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I appreciate the author trying to sound erudite, but 'fabulist' doesn't mean liar.
