It's definitely allowed. I've met lots of people who gave me the distinct impression that they were wankers.

Not at all. Love your username btw. Though I believe Ook was an orangutan, not a gorilla.

I will claim that an orang-utan is often mistaken to be an orangutan, but is in fact a cousin of Gorilla gorilla called Gorilla otang-utan.

That's because I have found that I was wrong, there is a character limit, orangutan is a long word, and I'm a retconning wanker.
