Easy: by the official quality assurance policy handed down by Musk himself being "don't."
He feels personally attacked every time someone mentions the long waiting lists, so he's asking workers to cut corners to get them out of the door faster.
As for the safety and well-being of people who have already paid for his shoddily built cars, he couldn't care less.
