True. If I'm ever interested in going back to that site, I'll try that method. But personally I'm liking Lemmy and the fediverse much more.
reddit content was already going downhill, bunch of repost bots, comments being ripped from other commenters.
when the API changes were announced it started getting worse.
RIF worked for a while after the initial deadline in read only mode and then the content went reeealy downhill.
basically if it wasn't something like news/politics/sports where it's just content being linked to, but actual user generated content then it was just reposts, but like daily.
