it's fucking wild how few people understand something as basic as pronouns
but Kool Aid They is catchy
With all due respect, due to fuckery when the discussion about them began, a lot of simply not interested folk are quite dumbfounded. Especially non native english speakers.
C'mon now, I'm 99% sure that whatever your native language, it has pronouns that follow the same basic rules, ie standing in for a referent
In my native language they/them would most probably directly translate to "it" and "these". Also, sandwhich is a lady.
