Thank you so much for doing this !

I'm actually interested in installing Coolify and trying Postiz, I might go for the hosted cloud plan for work stuff. I pay for a lot of free software, I appreciate the pro support but I like to know that if you make bad decisions like going closed source or rising the price by %500, I can still operate self hosted until I switch to an alternative or a fork. This hasn't happened with anything I pay for yet, but it has happened to software I don't use. So I like to be safe and have a plan B just in case.

Damn. I was hoping Valve would make using Waydroid dead easy

Could Waydroid have anything to do with this device? Wouldn't Chrome OS EC mean Waydroid wouldn't be needed ?

I tried it, it's fairly decent. Although imho, they went with quantity over quality.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the same thing. Have you tried Ente ? It looks like more mature but with less features, is that right?

Like getting completely bought by Tencent ?

Framework Home Console with Steam OS, it would be awesome for PC newcomers.

Both Ubuntu and Fedora ship with it by default, so everyone running those distros is using fwupd.

[–] warmaster 3 points 1 week ago

I doubt it, but I hope it happens.

Why? No breaking changes or something else in particular?

Go for Bazzite, it's freaking easy and there's no way you can brick it.

I'm planning to buy Smart TVs for my house and I wanted to know which TV OS has better support for homelab media apps.

Self-Hosted apps:

  • Jellyfin
  • Immich
  • Nextcloud Memories
  • Funkwhale or Navidrome or Mopidy
  • AudioBookShelf

Non-selfhosted apps I use:

  • Steam Link
  • All Streaming apps (Netflix, Disney+, etc.)
  • YouTube, YT Kids
  • YouTube Music
  • Spotify
  • Audible

Anyone tried this? Works perfectly for me. Any reason why I should go back to the OpenBoard fork with Swipe?

Qué se sabe? recibí varios videos por Whatsapp, leí un par de noticias... pero, nosé... me gustaría conocer su opinión.

On Bottles with the default runner I always had the mouse focus glitch. On Steam Proton Experimental it works great! If you play on BNet, I suggest you switch to Steam.

I didn't want to editorialize the title, the linked article is an old post. But with the Nitrux 2.9.1 launch, I wanted to bring a bit of light into how VMetal works.

Short summary:

VMetal allows users to run Windows in parallel to Nitrux with the aim to provide users of access to Windows software meanwhile they can still use their Linux desktop at the same time.

VMetal is not a wrapper or a compatibility layer; it makes use of QEMU and KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) on the software side and of VFIO and IOMMU on the hardware side, meaning that Windows is accessing directly the hardware that it utilizes.

I've found this project and was wondering if its's safe to use or I'd anyone has had any problems with it.

I haven't seen this app suggested, so I'm sharing it in case anyone likes it.

Try Thunder: https://github.com/hjiangsu/thunder

You can install and autoupdate using: https://github.com/ImranR98/Obtainium
