I guess it was inevitable when everyone and their dog rolled out a streaming service that eventually they'd have to squeeze subscribers more to stem the losses.

It seems like if the streaming platforms licensed each others exclusives in the same way no music streaming service has much exclusive music, there might be less profit but it might have been more stable for them.

That and his seemingly concerning hatred for Europe because Threads hasn't launched there yet...

Probably David Wise, he's had a hand in a lot of the Rare bangers!

I've also wondered that for the longest time. It was also like that when it was sync for reddit. At first I thought it was just a quirk specific to my phone.

I guess I'll be spending a lot more time on Lemmy now. It's like sync never went away ʘ‿ʘ

I've been enjoying Beef on netflix, the premise starts off absurd, but as the episodes go on, you really get a feel for how an unhappy life can lead to a lot of other things.

Is it the android community you’re referring to? As I believe that is run by the same moderators as was on the original subreddit, which is a shame.

I don’t feel like transplanting the exact same leadership / moderator teams as was on Reddit is always the best idea and some element of choice is important.

What will be, will be. It's really annoying of course, especially with Mudryk memories still fresh, but we can't get into a crazy bidding war. All that matters is if Rice wants us.

Seconded. I used to really think about it a lot. For me now, if I want to play it I'll eventually get around to it or make time. If I don't / can't its not the end of the world.

I've been using Kagi for the past two months. Honestly, I'm pretty happy with it and I can't think of any major misses in terms of search accuracy. I think it's very difficult to get out of the mindset that search should be free, but I'm trying to put my money where my mouth is as it were, to try to support adtech free services.

No problem! Usually a lurker, but want to do my bit with new communities. On second glance, it looks like I posted a duplicate of https://lemmy.world/post/88611 ...my apologies
