"NOPE! I WAS WRONG! THE PANTHER IS DEFINITELY EATING ME! STILL REQUIRE SAVING OVER HERE! HELLO? ANYONE?"

[–] Rhynoplaz 9 points 1 day ago (9 children)

Honest answer: Because that sounds terrible.

I'm not going to waste my time cooking food that I won't eat at it's prime, just so it can take up my fridge space until I inevitably ruin it with a microwave later in the week.

Also, storing and reheating good creates MUCH more potential for contamination and food borne illness.

I can pay for my lunch with the money I make in the first half hour of the day. It's not breaking the bank.

Hi, that's me. I get an hour for lunch during the week, and there are a handful of fast food places minutes from my work. I drive through, and sit in the parking lot eating my lunch and playing games on my phone. It's my quiet time for the day.

There's a bit of a game for some of these fast food places. Most people just roll up and order a #1 or whatever was in the commercials. That's how they get ya!

Sometimes you need to download the app, or check the menu for a budget meal. A slightly smaller burger and less than a pound of fries is an adequate meal for around $5-7.

Got a text from an old friend. (self.dull_mens_club)

He needs some extra hands to pick up a snowblower. We haven't really talked in years. It'll be nice to catch up.

Maybe if it was a cat, I'd believe him.

That's surprisingly accurate for not being able to see!

I've done everything so many times, but updated content brings me back!

If you haven't played since they added Ginger Island, I highly recommend giving it another go!

Just finished year one on my first playthrough since the update. Community center is almost done.

Funny anecdote: My wife and I were at the grocery store and I saw pomegranates, and for half a second I thought "OOH! I need one of those for the community center!"

I ended up not buying real produce for my game. 😂

Not as much as "needing to toughen up".

Just a thought that crossed my mind today.

If I was to ask everyone that you've ever interacted with (IRL) what their general opinion of you is, what do you hope the most common answer would be?

Would you hope they consider you a successful person, physically attractive, smart, the best in your field, etc?

Personally, my answer is "A good, kind person. Friendly and helpful."

Just wondering what the rest of feel.

EDIT: Based on the first few responses, I'm thinking I should have clarified better.

I'm not talking about your legacy after you're dead, I just mean right here, right now. You have left an impression on people. That is inevitable. Surely there aren't that many people that don't give a fuck what anyone thinks, but I must admit, it is a valid answer. Maybe you are the person who doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Pastor of Muppets is coming your way!

Kind of a shower thought, and maybe it's just how I run campaigns, but it feels like there's a lot of parallels between DMing and that guy who has a great idea for a book/movie but will never write a single page.

The DM comes up with "So what if there's this guy with this magic power, and the only way to beat him is through a very specific process." And then all the Players decide: who are the characters? What do they do? What do they say? How's it all work out?

My wife put in a pickup order at Sam's Club, so while we were up there, we got supper at the Chinese buffet!

It only took me two weekends to get through the whole thing, and now that it's over. Wow!

It resembles Slay the Spire, where you choose your path, and collect cards and powers, but the matches are more like puzzles. Your opponent creates scenarios and how you pay your cards determines if you move on or perish.

Now a big reason why I loved this game is the weird shit that happens, and weird shit isn't fun when you know it's coming, so that's all I'm going to say about that.

If you like puzzles or cards games or a story that makes you say WHAT THE FUCK?!? start downloading it now, it's free on Gamepass!

Corporate America has programmed people to HUSTLE! BE THE BEST! ACHIEVE! MAKE MORE MONEY!!! for so long that they now need to pay someone to come and teach us how to relax, enjoy the moment and be happy again.

I was relieved to see there were no bids on the Nazi trash.

I wonder if there's some guy out there that collects little metal cars who really wants to bid, but doesn't want to be the guy who bought the Nazi coin.

I've been invited to attend a Tim Walz rally tonight, and I have no idea what to expect. Share your stories and get me pumped up to see our next VP!

Update: Everybody was right, lots of standing and clapping, but what I really didn't expect was the sense of family I felt with all these strangers around me. We'd bump into each other, and laugh it off, one guy was telling me about how his son was thinking about going to the college that I work at (I was still wearing my shirt from work), and we all just knew that we were working together to make great things happen. I'll probably skip the next one, but it was a great experience. I'm glad I went, and would recommend going to one if you have a chance, and a candidate you believe in.

Make-up and KISS!

This one's for JusticeforPorygon!

Imagine apartments built into what used to be department stores, (Oh, you're JC Penny 203? I'm at Sears 106). Get those old arcades up and running. Set up meal stations at the food court. Once people actually live there, stores will start to move back in.

If I'm unable to finish my life in my own home, that doesn't sound like a terrible option.
