Is this just a man thing though?

No personal attacks please.

Get a Japanese washcloth, you animals. It's like a loofah that's been unraveled into a single rough cloth. A bit of body wash or even a bar of soap folded into it and you can hold the ends and scrub your body and back. Gets off all the dead skin and sweat, it's great.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

I read something a few months ago about a dermatologist saying that you don't need something that rough to remove any dead skin, and that literally your hand or anything soft would fit the bill.

That being said, I still use a pretty rough "soap bag".

Whoa, another human knows of the magic of these things? They're awesome. Works exactly as you described, great for back. Lasts forever. Doesn't hold water or grossness, only suds. Perfectly abrasive, for baby smooth skin. Thanks Japan. A+

[–] bad 2 points 1 year ago

this looks great thank you

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hands, by virtue of being the things doing the scrubbing, should be red.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Check out this guy scrubbing with his hands instead of using his head as a loofah like a normal person

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago (2 children)

If you have any "deep scrub" areas, your hands have to be "deep scrub" as well. Otherwise, what are you scrubbing with?

[–] UhBell 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The 10 month old luffa, what do you scrub with?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

The rough side of the kitchen sponge. Luffa?! Man up!

[–] Skaryon 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I always do the deep scrubbing, then scrub the hands. Feels like a no brainer but I'm probably expecting too much from my peers

What, you don't use your hands for the deep scrub?

[–] UhBell 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Scrub your feet unless you want yellow toenails like grandpa

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's actually not to do with washing. That's fungus, which soap won't kill.

Tits, pits and bits

[–] _number8_ 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

YES

i saw someone on twitter say this is basically correct - it's bad for the skin to constantly wash the rest for no reason

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

That rash commenter, was me

[–] daddyrat 8 points 1 year ago

My dermatologist told me this: wash the stinky parts.

[–] Cruxifux 7 points 1 year ago

Socks and gloves stay on in the shower. No exceptions.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Seriouslyis this not good enough? I only do a full body soap weekly.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

The other day my girlfriend said, "I'm pretty fast at showering. I know exactly where to clean."

[–] PsychedSy 5 points 1 year ago

Missing the 'ole gooch chooch. Crank the heat up and blast your taint with the shower head.

[–] mysoulishome 5 points 1 year ago

I think you meant to post this to infographics because it’s accurate information

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

As an athlete, good god that would leave me smelly long term lol But also this is probably accurate for 99% of teenage boys

[–] AlbyEvent 2 points 1 year ago

Well, after a really sweaty workout session you should wash your whole body, but washing it with chemicals every day damages the natural barrier.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

You beat me to it, good sir. Here’s some alt-text: “I didn't wash today. I wasn't dirty. If I'm not dirty, I don't wash. Some weeks I don't have to shower at all. I just groom my three basic areas: teeth, hair, and asshole. And to save time, I use the same brush.”

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Yall are stinky. It takes like 1-2 min to scrub your whole body. It takes me more time to scrub my back than the rest of my body. Get a loofa or whatever, it's fast.

[–] zav 3 points 1 year ago
[–] KreekyBonez 3 points 1 year ago

hair only gets washed every few days, and the feet get washed once or twice daily. otherwise accurate.

[–] Calzoner 3 points 1 year ago

Have you been watching me in shower?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

If I've gone to the trouble of undressing, turning on the fan, etc, then I'm gonna actually wash everywhere, even if it's quick. Otherwise, it's basically just a rinse, which seems pointless.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's kind of disgusting.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

That the comments are as much in agreement as I was expecting is depressing. There are a lot deep, dark things I'll tell the internet, but "What's wrong with never washing?" is somehow not one of them.

[–] froh42 1 points 1 year ago

Yes I do not soap my feet as I'll get a rash on my lower legs from much soap. From time to time I use a special mild detergent.

[–] LeHappStick 1 points 1 year ago

Is there any other way?

[–] FartsWithAnAccent 1 points 1 year ago

Hell no, I definitely wash my feet and hands. Feet usually get a deep scrub and hands get washed on a regular basis anyways so they just get a standard scrub.
