MODERATORS

Is there a community to request the creation of other communities? Like, there's a few topics that I'd like to discuss but it doesn't seem like there have been any communities made for them yet, so is there a place where I can ask for those to be made? I only ask because moderating a community is a big time sink, otherwise I'd just make them myself.

c/NewCommunities seems as close to what you're looking for as far as I've run across.

Yeah, I thought to post there but I don't think they allow requests. Maybe I'll just make the communities, it's for a couple of niche games anyways, might not be to hard to manage.

There's also Wow this Lemmy [email protected]

Id suggest going to the lemmy tips community and reading about finding and subscribing to communtiies on other instances. https://sh.itjust.works/c/[email protected]

this is one too for finding communities that you'll see a lot: https://browse.feddit.de/

Once you've searched a bit if you're sure the community doesn't exist, then maybe post in one of the many community request communties. Theres a couple I see

welcome to the fediverse!
