Are you playing the talos principle?

A great puzzle game with terminals often found in woods or other outdoors locations. Like so:

What's that?

It looks brand new. What's the story here?

Ya if it was old it'd be piss yellow from sun damage and way dirtier. With a few bullet holes if it was left outside in some places.

It was outside my dad's house - It turns out he found it with some old tech in his house and pit it out there hoping someone would take it.

I took it the next time I came.

EDIT: he says it was out there 2 weeks

Some of those monitors are now worth quite a bit.

Old Hyama 4:3 ratio 560p 30hz. Literally e-waste.

Donate it to a library, they'll probably be ecstatic to have such advanced technology.

Thought it was a flat panel from that era, if it's a high quality CRT yeah those can be pricey due to low input lag and high refresh rate.

[–] ABCDE 1 points 1 year ago

Oh, you're likely right then. I assumed it was a big CRT.

An altar of ancient origin. They say when the lightning strikes and it brightens, they acted like doors, or rather windows to the universe.

in the woods

literally in front of a fence, which is not a natural formation in such a location (someone must have built it, so it must lead somewhere)

Yeah okay cortana.

Bet it still works. We have one like that too, and had at least 2 computers using the display die before it. Still going strong

Nice - I didn't have a VGA cable handy but I took it with me and will try when I get my hands on one

EDIT: the LED lights up though

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Very nice! I'm not sure if there's an on screen menu, but maybe try the bottom buttons if you get a picture.

[–] turkelton 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Hey! I got around to test it with a VGA cable and it fucking works! Watched a Seinfeld episode on it.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

Hah! I knew it!
