Thankfully I have another 37 in my trusty cable box
Because you know the day after you get rid of them you'll need one
52*
They reproduced with each other
Never know when you're going to need 165 VGA cables.
With enough patience this can be fixed. But it is a pain in the ass.
it's a pain in the ass
I'd recommend using tweezers next time. Sphincters weren't designed for pin straightening.
I have to admit i'm not the gentlest when it comes to cable insertions, but what in the fuck happened here?
If I had to guess, I'd say school. Kids will absolutely destroy computers if you give them a chance to.
Tweezers and a steady hand would get those pins back into some kind of alignment. Until the cable or monitor can be replaced anyway.
Source: Have had to perform pin-straightening at least once.
VGA is child's play compared to CPUs in the days before zero insertion force sockets.
Reminds me that back in the day I used to have to deal with pin straighteners at work frequently. I haven't touched one in decades.
VGA, serial, CPUs and SCSI. I remember discovering that the tip part from a mechanical pencil worked great to fix them.
Oh, I did that! I had forgotten it.
You can’t be serial.
Nice VGA right there, it's not Serial enough to care about it tho.
Why so serial?

Oh god... flashbacks...
Oh yeah a Visibly Gobbled Arrangement connector.
Put it up to your mouth and blow the dust out like a harmonica. That always does the trick.
Needs a lil rub
Time for some ducttape
Reminds me of a guy who managed to stick a DB23 plug into a DB25 socket.
