I don’t know much about boats but that damage looks bad. Does anyone know if that is likely to take it out of service for a long time or if it’s more superficial?

That'll buff out, no problem. Just a little scratch.

Ship looks fucked, but the dock itself looks ok? I wonder if they'll tow the ship out to at least make use of the dock.

They will. However, they need to ensure that the ship can actually float before they flood the dry dock.

However, Russia is known for their endless tunnels of bureaucracy. It may take months or years for them to figure out what they want to do with the ship and until then, it's likely going to stay out.

On the flip side, if an independent business runs that dock, they are going to move that ship somehow so business can keep going. (However, if there is a financial benefit to having the ship stuck there and the business can charge storage, there is that.)

Its hard to bomb a hole in the ground into a smaller hole in the ground.

The dock is fucked. The main problem isn't structural, the main problem is that they can't move it.

Yep, that's not going to go anywhere on short notice.

Good hit to the superstructure, but no clear signs of internal structural damage. I’d love to see some melted internal structure.
