hey, i tried to use lemmy on desktop (firefox, win10) but if i comment or vote, it isn't actually sending or doing anything.

it clears the comment field and looks like it is commented.. or voted.. but it actually doesn't does anything. i have to write this post on my phone because on desktop it isn't working.

is this a known bug in lemmy? i really want to ssitch to lemmy but it feels glitchy and buggy. on mobile its fine, but on desktop its not really working. even if click on my profile link pn the top right it isn't loading the page. also if i click on posts it often doesn't loads and i have to F5 manually.

is there a way to fix this somehow? its really depressing to not be able to do anything on desktop.

i use firefox 80.0 (64bit). i know its a bit old but 99.99% websites work with it so I don't think it should matter.

114.0.1 64bit here.

I get "report created" on quite a few threads when reading, so something is playing strangely.

update: i installed for testing purposes a firefox portable version that has i think 115.0 and it seems to work. dang it, so i need to update or use the portable version. i just hate the new firefox ui changes.. so i try to stay away from it as long it can.. :/ damn it.

If it's just a matter of UI have you tried customizing it with some css? There are plenty of Projects already done, just to copy in the right place, or you can try to make your own

i tried a custom css file that should make it look like the classic style, but it still isn't really looking how i would love it to be. maybe i find somewhere the style from my main firefox installation if i search more. thanks for the tip :)

Firefox on mobile (iOS) no go too. On a login loop> but Memmy App (iOS) works (still beta testing). But no edit button so gotta comment again

Edited1: Memmy App (iOS) works (still beta testing). But no edit button so gotta comment again. Edited2: Now on my desktop Firefox on desktop works flawless on my side.

Firefox on Android works just fine. Last time I checked Firefox on iOS was basically safari with a firefox skin.

I'm on Android. Just switched to chrome just for Lemmy. On Firefox it is unusable. I can post and can even view for a while, but from time to time things start randomly flickering, or photos are closing after I expand it. It is definitely not optimalised for FF.

Firefox win10 on desktop works just fine for me. Or mostly fine. Sometimes it gets stuck because the website is going slow, this happens to me on mobile chrome too. I think it's just the large amount of traffic in those cases

Firefox 155b8, Win 11, works without issues.
