Those are so neat! You inspire me to color up my own skadis workshop corner. I can tell you're a fun person! 😀

Love it. I have the 10:1 skeleton in glow-in-the-dark filament already but where'd you find the other designs like the barrel and flowers?

[–] tbe 1 points 1 year ago

I actually designed the other things myself, you can find them on my printables profile: https://www.printables.com/@theo/models :)

Don't have a new pic of its location rn. But this guy sits on my TV stand behind me.

My clock is the one I am most proud of

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

that's a nice design.
Have you looked at the pendulum clock by steve petersen? it's a very nice design- and mine keeps reasonably good time considering.

Very steampunky! I like it :D

The only thing I really have within line of sight are my keyboard and desktop case. But they're both very useful as I'm sure you can imagine.

No freaking way those are 3d printed! If so, you've got serious talent. Very nice :o

Mostly it's the practical parts I've built, a lot of which I've designed but by no means all, both on the printer and not. I actively use my vertical/wall-mount project management/storage system so I see that every day, of course.

But I also have a nice little 20%-wood-infill PHA totoro I printed and a blue silk mecha-spider around to keep me company. ^_^

A bunch of too inaccurate calibration prints, after my hotend failed earlier this month and I'm rebuilding my machine and dialing in the settings again.

I've just got a few fidget toys, I frequently use during meetings to keep calm and my fingers occupied...

[–] galaxi 1 points 1 year ago

I love 3d printing fidgets too. Especially with magnets. It can be so restless sitting at a desk for hours.

I have a truly impressive colletion of flexi-dinos. Ostensibly, they were test prints. For the kids. (Niece and nephew. No... I don't play with them. why would you ask that? no seriously. I would never. why would you ask that?)

As a side note... the flexi turtle is a total stoner.

I love this thread because I just started looking into 3D printing within the last week, and I'm excited about all the little knick-knacks I could make, both for gifts and my own entertainment. Some great ideas here!

This little guy is on a shelf to my right:

(Yes, there is a print under that paintjob—in black PLA, to be precise. I got the model from Thingiverse somewhere.)

[–] galaxi 1 points 1 year ago

That's a fantastic paint job. I love the texture and variation on the fur :)

I have a whole row of 10mm calicats under my monitor. I use them to test new filaments and as a color reference. I also have one of those repeating pyramids I printed in copper silk that's always fun to look at (sorry, I looked, I can't find the STL now 🙁 )
