Like the title says, I've been trying to log in to lemmy.world for the last two days, and the login button just spins forever. I've tried on both Brave and Firefox for Android, currently posting this from Jerboa.

Did you just signup? If so there’s a confirmation enail yiu need to click otherwise it just spins endlessly as you said.

No, I've already done the confirmation email. It was logged in for a while, I guess it logged out at some point and I haven't been able to get back in on the browser. Jerboa works fine, which is how I'm able to post this, but it's not so great for searching out new stuff, so I was just gonna use the browser. I'm logged into another instance, could that be the issue?

I am able to login without issue.

[–] Mori 3 points 2 years ago

Same here - no problems with login

[–] calhoon2005 1 points 2 years ago

Same. No problems either on desktop Firefox or mobile.

Same, just logged in on a new device.

I've been having this same problem for days (iPhone SE, iOS 15.7.6). Many times I tried logging in with Firefox and Chrome but no luck. Today was finally able to log in using Chrome. All that time though my desktop browsers allowed login with no problem.

Same here. I had the same issue creating my account as well. I don't know why, but it finally allowed me to create my account after several days of trying.

Just got in. I was missing a character in my username. If you can't login, double check your credentials. If you can't create an account try a different username.

So, for future posterity: I was eventually able to log in, after logging out of Jerboa and any other instances I was logged into, and also changing my password. No idea which solution was the kicker, but if I had to guess, it was probably the password, and I'm an idiot lol. Hope this helps!

It did this to me after I changed my password. Somehow the new password reverted, or never fully changed.

Hmm, I don't think I changed my password, but I'll check.
