Additional info not mentioned in the article: paramount is trying to have a merger, and needs government approval, and skydance wants the trump lawsuit against CBS/60 minutes to be resolved before they attempt to merge. They are doing a big dance with the administration.

Ahh, yes - the studio that own Star Trek has turned against diversity, equity, and inclusivity. I foresee no repercussions from that at all. /s
Did you not see Picard? Apparently the future of humanity is a fascist, racist shit show that somehow became the opposite of Gene Roddenberry’s vision for the sake of, like, subverting expectations I guess? The Federation was openly racist against Romulans and enslaved androids even after episodes like Measure Of A Man grappled with the morality of such slavery. It’s a wonder they didn’t do a throw back episode where Picard goes back in time to try and prevent the kiss from TOS because of the damage it did to the future’s timeline or some shit. From “Infinite Diversity In Infinite Combinations” to “Romulans are garbage and deserved to have their sun go supernova” in a single episode. That show was wild for a Star Trek series.
Go anti-woke, go broke? Guess it's time to boycott paramount too
You could pirate all their stuff instead 😈
Wait. Hollywood doesn't actually care about the causes it champions? But that would mean they are doing it just for relevance and money?
What is motivating all companies to remove DEI? Is there any law against it? As far as executive orders, they only apply to government workers.
The DOJ is investigating companies for their hiring practices related to DEI.

The company I work for had a DEIB conference last week. They were asked if they were still moving forward. They said "We built this company on DEIB, of course we are sticking to our values." I couldn''t be more proud.
The blunt end of capitalism: cost savings. Fewer lines to justify on a P&L. They are just using presidential admin changes as cover. Without any sniff of a notion of any regulation, capitalism sees no ethical reasons for additonal cost in business. More profit is more important than people and inclusion.
I'm looking forward to all of these anti-DEI companies virtue-signalling when pride month comes in June
They will virtue signal by purposely not doing anything including pulling funding and support.
Sub cancelled. Reason added.
Time to boycott Paramount.
