Had an 8 hour drive a few days ago, had a monster halfway to keep me awake.... Felt like drinking battery acid.

unrelated but how do people get normal shiny hair like that? mine just gets clumpy if it gets moved around

Depends on your hair type and the water you're washing it in. If you have hard water or use products with things that coat/leave residue in your hair, you might benefit from a cleansing shampoo once in a while (re: weekly/bi-weekly) to clean it out.

Most commercial shampoos have silicone based stuff that coats it and makes it "feel" and "look" silky but can be damaging or detrimental over time if not managed/maintained.

Sorting out what works best for your scalp and hair is the slightly easier bit, the water can be a hassle.

QUALITY shampoo and conditioner every day, with leave in conditioner and good hairspray after. I have shiny hair but notice a major drop in my hair's quality/frizz if I don't shower on my day off.

Shiny hair usually indicates smooth, straight hair. You likely have wavy hair if it clumps even when washed and dried daily.

A boar bristle hairbrush can help move oil from your scalp onto the hair. That helps me anyways
