  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

The problem is that the first term WAS a lot of smokescreen and noise, with one horrible thing happening behind it. Now it's all horrible things very clearly going to:

  1. Crash our economy in just a few weeks
  2. Create concentration camps that will almost certainly contain American Citizens
  3. Destroy the ability of our food chains to function
  4. Potentially start TWO ground wars
  5. Restrict our physical abilities to move about the country and/or leave it

I'm even missing some. It's only week two, motherfucker! Ezra needs to get with the fucking real world and start seeing what as actually happening.

This is a weaksauce article, with the same energy as "we really got him now boys, he's done for, he's doing everything wrong, wrong election strategy, never work, you see if he really wanted to ....." blah blah blah blah

Trump's DOD pick Pete Hegseth was at the helm of the Pentagon, when for the first time in American history, a US Army Blackhawk Helicopter flew into the descending flight path of a commercial passenger jet airplane over American soil, killing everyone, plunging them into The Potomac River.

I wonder if the families of the dead from the plane crash, or the families of the millions dead from a purposeful and inept global pandemic response should "Believe him". fffs, "don't believe him" as he's litteraly destroying the American economy with a tariff war, after 3 years of unprecedented inflation, so many are now, because of these tariffs, months away from absolutely losing everything.

"don't believe him" jfc, publishing this garbage "chin up" bullshit doesn't help anyone, and neither does posting it as if there's anything of value to be gleaned

Donald Trump is a worldender, and he's ending our world, right now, this minute, shit is breaking that can't easily be repaired. Believe that.

I shared the article because I saw some nuggets of constitutional checks working, like the judge saying he couldn’t end birth right citizenship. I hate the idea of people getting worked up the same way J6ers did and think the world is ending.

The lack of information and flurry of information together could create a bad situation like J6, I sincerely hope it doesn’t come to that or worse.

it's guaranteed that it will, this time the body count will be astronomical. it isn't a matter of if.

That’s a bold prediction, but I really don’t think this is a body count type of situation. I think they’re trying to deter new illegal immigrants from coming in by scaring them about jailing them. At the very least, I hope all countries involved do the responsible adult thing, and help out the poor people who effectively dont have a home.

If it turns into a body count type of situation, that’s inviting civil war, and I don’t think anyone wants that. Whatever it is, at the end of it Republicans and Democrats are pro-America and pro-Americans.

Don't believe the NYTrash either. It's a disgusting imperial rag that's largely responsible for normalizing fascism, genocide, etc.

What news outlet do you suggest?

[–] Gradually_Adjusting 1 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I like the Canary and the Intercept, though neither are perfect. There's also Was Street on Parade for... That sort of thing.

[–] CharlesDarwin 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Did the Intercept get a lot better after Greenwald left?

[–] homesweethomeMrL 0 points 4 days ago

Depends on what you mean by "a lot".

[–] homesweethomeMrL 16 points 4 days ago

Oh, "Don't Believe Him"?

Sure, New York Times, sure. Thanks for the heads up!

[–] CharlesDarwin 11 points 4 days ago

I realize this is an op-ed from someone that didn't necessarily control the paper, but it really is too bad that NYT enabled so much of donvict's bullshit all these years, all while bothsidering Biden, Hillary and Kamala.
