Why do we even have men's prisons if we're all legally female now?

And it's not like it's easy for a trans woman to get into a woman's prison anyway. The vast majority of trans women were already held in male prisons. This order affects mostly people who have all their legal documents changed, have been on hormones for years, and have had surgery. You're talking about people that if you met them on the street, you would assume they were cis women. Hell, you would suspect they were cis women if you saw them on a nude beach. Before this executive order, you pretty much had to be that far in transition before you would be allowed to serve your time in a women's prison.
Also, hormones for trans people aren't just about psychological well being. If you're post-bottom surgery, your body doesn't produce sex hormones anymore. A post-op trans women needs to take estrogen, not just for her own psychological well being, but for basic metabolic functioning. Being without sex hormones causes all sorts of medical problems, such as rapid early onset osteoporosis.
The BOP is telling trans women, "because of my religion, we're going to melt your bones."

They probably see it as a good thing. Another dirty crook off the face of the Earth.
They don't mind crooks. It's trans people they hate.
I dunno man, they seem to hyperfixate on the death penalty and "law and order" a little too much.
On the bright side, they're as stupid as they are evil and egotistical. If Trump had just back channeled this and let wardens do this on a case by case basis the prison litigation "reform" act Clinton signed into law would've pretty much guaranteed it would be numerous years and countless opportunities for staff retaliation before any of these people could get a claim into Federal court, but by involving himself he probably just blew up that whole scheme.

What in concentration’
Well, yes? That would make sense.
Or a prison for everyone.
I guess because of the US prison system, more trans people would then be incentivized to be incarcarated which is really bad especially in combination of recent law adjustments regarding trans people?
- let's make LBGTQ illegal
- lets create for-profit prisons exclusively for trans people
- concentration camps would not be too far-fetched then
I think most people would be satisfied with trans, and particularly trans-women that went through male puberty, were incarcarated away from women.
But logically, there are only two ways to make it "fair".
Either make separate jails for trans, or put everyone in the same jail. The second one would be incredibly detrimental for women and trans, as male prisoners would be in the same prison. I dont think i need to elaborate.
Not that I think it's the best solution, since the best solution would be to accept trans women as women and trans men as men, but they would probably get a hell of a lot less mistreatment.
Not in our society. The worst of the worst would be hired there, and if/when people try to speak out it would be ignored.
If I was a trans man I would rather go to women's prison to be honest.
