Remember when we decided Dan Quayle shouldn’t be a politician anymore because he misspelled potato?

Remember when Dan Quayle of all people convinced Mike Pence to not go along with Trumps plan to not certify the 2020 election? Wild times.

Why do you have to attack me like that and right before my bedtime at 930pm on a weekend night. Lol

9:30! What is this, new years eve?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

Man, I wish I could go to bed at 9:30, lol. As I grow older so to does my nightly staring contest with the ceiling

Pretty sure Howard Dean knew how to spell potato.

The right wing says things for effect, not for truth. That's all.

They'll say Biden eating ice cream is an embarrassment but Trump eating ice cream is showing he's a man of the people. They have no consistency other than seeking power. They are, if you value honesty and consistency, bad people.

The Democrats nominated John Kerry that year. President Kerry went on to lmao j/k he lost to George W. fucking Bush after we saw the horrible wars he started.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 2 weeks ago

yeah but he was a democrat, and only democrats are held to any standard whatsoever, you know?

Al Franken remembers

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 weeks ago

He was running on healthcare reform and a public option as a failsafe minimum. That's why his yell 'made him unfit' in the political media cycle.

Remember when Howard Dean later colluded with Clinton, Wasserman-Schultz, Donna Brazil, and the DNC to say how awful Bernie was?

I distinctly remember an interview on NPR where he basically said Bernie was garbage. It made me sick to think that I went knocking on doors for the Dean Campaign.

Fuck 2016. It was the year I changed my alignment to the DSA.

Because Dems decided that they would set an example.

Protip: don't take the high ground when being shitty and immoral is seen as virtue.

I read that his campaign was already failing and the yell wasnt really the reason he withdrew.

Also, Mitt Romney's "I have binders full of women" is really funny.

Right it's like saying "please clap" was what made jeb Bush not fit to be president

[–] Pieisawesome 1 points 2 weeks ago

Jen statement was out of context.

Iirc, he made a joke, it bombed and he said “please clap” and people laughed

Or something like that
