I don’t like musk or what he is doing, but I don’t see any mention of OPM data being leaked?

I did an, admittedly brief, search and couldn’t find anything saying the data HAD been leaked.

Is there potential? Yes

Is this a bad practice? Definitely.

Would I hire any engineer who thought changing prod of a complex system on their second week was a good idea? Fuck no, it’s stupid.

But let’s not make up fake news.

Yeah this isn’t going to hold an edge very long.

It looks like he just resurfaced it, but didn’t grind in a new edge…

I’d give it ~1 hour of working time before it’s dull again

No it wouldn’t have.

Licensing isn’t 1 sided. You have to have both parties AGREE to the license.

In this case it’s just text on each message.

The reason OpenAI was able to scrape the internet largely consequence free is because they never agreed to the ToS of the websites, thus they are not bound by those terms.

I agree that it isn’t right or morally correct, but legally it’s okay.

Additionally, by signing up to Lemmy, they grant certain rights and privileges to their instance and others due to agreeing to the license.

In fact, lemmy could make it easier for scrapers, as lemmy will happily deliver content to your instance, simplifying scraping.

If death isn’t real, what’s the point of the movies?

If you know the character can come back at any point, it makes the story less impactful.

Look at “somehow he returned” for palpatine. Sure, it was hamfisted example at best, but it cheapened all of the previous movies.

What was the point of anakin sacrificing himself if palpatine returns?

What’s the point of these characters, their stories, their lives, and their deaths if they are meaningless?

Stories don’t need happy endings

Then what’s the point? It doesn’t stop scrapers

You know that license doesn’t do anything, right?

Additionally gasoline degrades after some time and would be mostly useless after 4-5 years without substantial additives and work to bring it back into shape.

I believe kerosine can last up to 10yrs

The banks would reverse the transactions.

If the foreign government pays you, you can take the money and move to that country

Can’t they fly around? Nearby can be reach in a multitude of ways

[–] Pieisawesome 14 points 1 month ago (3 children)

I don’t understand why it’s normal procedure to fly over an active airport with a helicopter.

That seems destined to have issues

Can’t they just fly around it?

Look for military surplus stores. Military surplus stores are hit or miss on availability and quality, since they buy in bulk containers. Check over the piece of clothing thoroughly for damage.

You can also buy some of coats brand new from manufacturers like London Fog. They make an English officers coat that is lovely

The people who support mass deportation probably think that chipotle is the best Mexican food you can get…
