Shitty company -> Shitty CEO -> Does shitty things

Absolutely drowning in market valuation, though. The folks at the top are soulless. Absolutely inhuman. All they know how to do is Pander to Power, Collect Rents, Eat Hot Chip, and Lie.

And when things inevitably come crashing down, we all suffer and they buy up the remainder to do it all over again, ad nauseum until we're left with nothing.

We could chop off their heads as an exemplum

[–] dephyre 72 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I would be delighted if CEO's would stop kissing the ring of this fascist clown.

[–] [email protected] 73 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Fascism and business always go hand in hand, did we all forget? This isn't any different than at other times in history

[–] newthrowaway20 27 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yep. This is history and we're all surprised it's happening again.

[–] Glitterbomb 7 points 2 months ago

At this point I'm pretty sure being surprised at history repeating is a part of history that repeats

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yeah people seem to know about Hugo Boss and Volkswagon, etc. working for the Nazi Party, but maybe they don't realize why?

[–] Glitterbomb 5 points 2 months ago

NVIDIA seems like the type of company to go the IBM route and come up with a system of tattoos...

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

It's the CEO's who prop us fascist dictators to squash class struggle

[–] AngryRobot 29 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Looks like my next video card will be an AMD.

[–] Weslee 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Inb4 amd does the exact same thing

[–] forgotaboutlaye 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

They are cousins. They'll probably go together after the next family dinner.

You're wrong, the ceo of AMD, lisa su, is related to the CEO of nvidia. I just watched an interview Lisa did where she confirmed in video it's true.

Can't be bothered to find the time stamp but this was the video https://youtu.be/8Ve5SAFPYZ8

Makes you wonder if they are price gouging and withholding innovations behind the scenes. It’s a duopoly nonetheless.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

She said they aren't close in that interview and I believe her, AMD isn't price gouging ngreedia is. Intel is the best price to performance though and will break up the duopoly hopefully in the next few generations of their discrete cards.

What a gimp

By "ring" they mean his swampy anus and by "kiss" they mean insert tongue.

[–] answersplease77 7 points 2 months ago

thank you for the vivid and much needed clarification

[–] uberdroog 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The next company to get my retirement savings out of.

[–] SpaceNoodle 5 points 2 months ago (3 children)

I'd encourage you not to make rash financial decisions based on emotions.

But your portfolio shouldn't be concentrated on NVDA anyway.

[–] hypna 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

TIL Lemmy zeitgeist says investment portfolios should be acts of passion.

[–] SpaceNoodle -2 points 2 months ago

Right? Ketamine and vibes-based investment. Buttcoin and GameStop to the moon, etc.

If it were a zero-sum game, I'd be all for everyone else dumping their cash into meme stocks and panic-selling, but those sorts of activities just exacerbate the situation.

[–] x00z 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Emotions not so much.

Morals on the other hand, definitely.

It's kind of hard when tech makes up the bulk of the S&P 500....

[–] SpaceNoodle 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Then maybe don't track that?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Not everyone has many options in their 401K. Most large cap mutual funds track the S&P500.

[–] SpaceNoodle 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Then you probably don't have the option to omit specific symbols.

[–] jaggedrobotpubes 9 points 2 months ago

Aw quivering little pussy of a man.

[–] bizzle 7 points 2 months ago

Hey, NVIDIA! fuck you!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

Welp I just switched to AMD

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

figures he'd out himself to be an asshole after i just bought and upgraded my video card

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago

How did the line go? "There's no ethical consumption under capitalism"

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Burn it to the ground

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

I'm honestly surprised he didn't do it yet.
