That would be a compliment in my case. It's more like-
TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

sigh Chris, we all miss you very much.
It's weird how perspective can change. Like, I'm looking at this and my initial thought is that he's obviously fat, but he doesn't seem comically fat.
(It's sort of like watching Seinfeld now and hearing all the fat jokes directed at George)
I wonder how much of that shift is due to cultural changes since then, but also how much was just the "bit" that he was playing up how "fat" he was. It's probably a hefty amount (hehe) of both, bc regardless of the general population, the media itself at one point avoided thicker people.
It was largely a bit. John Candy was more what would have been considered abnormally fat at the time.
It's a matter of perspective and confidence ... when Chris Farley does it, it's sexy and funny ... I'm not as pudgy as Chris but if I did that, I would look disturbing and even frightening.
Well, even at that size Chris Farley could still do a standing backflip
Same for that push-up bra, so I'd say we're evenly matched.
"Admiral, at the present rate of repair, inches will feel like feet."
“Intercourse will last approximately two hours… By the book.”
This is why I always under promise and deliver just enough.
Aggressively average
"I only ever said I was fully functional. I never said anything about size, color, shape or quality of service."
Kim Cattrall is a good actress, but I think she played a Vulcan exceptionally well. One of my favorite portrayals.
That's Kirstie Alley, although both of them played Vulcans.
Shit, you're right, and I'm mortified. Kirstie's was excellent as well.
I just rewatched that one, too.
All vulcans look alike to you huh
We just gonna forget about Robin Curtis?
You're not far off, because in TUD Valaris was originally supposed to be Saavik
Am I misunderstanding this, but wouldn’t Spock be unable to exaggerate if he was full-blooded Vulcan?
To be fair, Spock wasn't a full-blooded Vulcan. His mother was a human. But also, Vulcans can lie. Tuvok lied all the time; he was a literal spy.
I believe the implication at the time was that this was either his human side coming out, or that he figured out how to lie after spending so much time around humans.
There can also probably be exceptions in his mind, like he's not lying for the sake of lying, he's using encoded messages to deceive an enemy trying to kill them.
He does something similar in TUD trying to delay their return to space dock to save Kirk and Bones.
A lie?
Spock: an error.
