A community dedicated to the universe of Warhammer 40k, a tabletop setting in the far, distant future.

This is a general community for 40k miniatures, art, lore discussion, and gameplay discussion.

Rules

  1. Keep it civil.
  2. No memeposts/shitposts. Memes are great but direct them to grimdank.
  3. Please mark any posts containing realistic nudity or realistic excessive gore/violence as NSFW; this rule mainly applies to cosplay and realistic drawings rather than miniatures. Being that 40k is inherently violent, this is a judgement call, and mods may occasionally request posters add tags.
  4. No political or social cause agenda pushing.

My first fully painted warhammer 40k mini. I recently got into the mini side while visiting one of the stores. They sold me a starter kit and I got this commissar.

Please be kind. I know I need a lot of practice but it's the first time I've done this sort of thing. Still I am proud of it and felt it worth a post.

Looks great! Really love the silver/bronzed look of the metal!

Looks like you came out of the gate swinging. Great job especially the weathering.

Was this hand painted, also what type of paint did you use?

Edit: Also you did a really good job there.

I don’t play 40k… maybe I should.

Great work OP!

Kill Team is an official skirmish game that serves as a gateway. There are also third parties like Onepagerules that provide free rules for both full size and skirmish combat.

Third party miniature companies like Wargames Atlantic, Spellcrow, and Kromlech provide both full models and bits for cheap. 3D printing opens up an entire new world of possibilities.

Nice work. The breastplate is especially effective.

This is much better than my army of shapeshifters who are all naturally grey...

I suck at painting, lol.
