"Mass deportations aren't just inhumane," one congresswoman said. "Trump has a recipe for economic disaster. Farmers, workers, and consumers... all pay the price."

Slam is so passé. Convicted is now incrédule.

Until someone does something about it, I propose 'deep-fried' or 'fattened'.

Edit: tabarnak

34 convictions. 2 impeachments, 0 consequences.

For everything else, there's MuskyCard™

Sorry. I actually used to teach Photoshop to graphic designers but I can't be assed to a) use Adobe ever and b) put any effort in with those images on my screen. Or hard drive.

In fairness that's probably exactly what that card would look like if either of those two had a hand in designing it.

No they'd probably use an eggshell white text on a glossy white background (because of the racism)

Merrick Garland: “I tried nothing and I’m all out of ideas” “Enjoy your fascism, Plebeians…”

Who really gives a fuck at this point. When trump is done and a whole bunch of people have their lives ruined and/or ended then maybe voters will get their heads out of their asses and actually vote for real progressives in the future.

They can't vote for progressives if none are fielded by either party. That was the big draw of Trump: he's evil, but he's popular among his base, and he showed them he'll break all the rules to get things done during his first presidency. People see change with Trump. Not good change, at least, anyone who doesn't blindly support him views it as bad change.

But it's change. The DNC handicapped their only true progressive in 2016 and 2020 to shove corporate, centrist candidates down our throat to maintain the status quo. After 8+ years of nothing fundamentally changing for the average person and the DNC just re-running the 2016 playbook... People stayed home. They didn't see change in Harris' campaign, they saw "four more years of getting fucked over, but not Trump."

People can't vote for a progressive that doesn't exist. It has to come from the DNC first, and based on all of their excuses as to why it's everyone but themselves who are wrong since the election... I don't see it happening.

As much as I loathe to say it, Trump is highly effective which really attracts people. Unfortunately, the way he is effective is by doing all kinds of unconstitutional and otherwise illegal stuff and those charged with holding him accountable are just saying, "fuck it", we're getting what we want.

If we get fair elections every again. I don't think we will get to vote this mess away. I think we will have only one solution and unfortunately no one will come and save us, the way we saved Germany from Hitler. I don't think a single European country even if they all combined could take on the US military.

Think how much better America could be if all the MAGAts were deported instead. I don't know who would be willing to take them aside from Russia, but I also don't care as long as they're not here.

Susan Collins is very concerned.

Was just thinking about onyx and biohazard today, specifically this track:

Judgment Night

Would you say that journalism has gotten...

SLAMMED??

The article is a good starter, and we need to go much further now, before the horrible shit begins.

They will absolutely throw US citizens out of the country because they "look foreign". This happened decades ago, and it will certainly happen again. They will absolutely throw asylum seekers out of the country, in violation of international treaty. They will absolutely disenfranchise anyone they feel like. They will absolutely ignore the Bill of Rights.

Remember, my friends, the Bill of Rights protects all people in the US, not only the citizens. Everyone, regardless of citizenship, has the right to due process. But will the courts care? The Fifth Circuit is bat-shit crazy, but the Ninth Circuit is less off their rockers. And even if the courts care, how will they regulate things if the people who would have standing are already dumped over the border?

What happens if the governor, sheriff, or police chief opposes the President's directives? In theory the military would be supporting law enforcement, and most law enforcement is state and local. What happens when states disagree with the feds? Who gets to decide when an emergency exists, or ends? It can't be the President alone, for obvious reasons.

... We need to be thinking of this level of detail.

Slammed! Slammed right into the oval office! Then we're slammed.
