We've watched one, yes.
But what about second episode?
/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.
Fun will now commence.

We've watched one, yes.
But what about second episode?
watches 2 parter
That still only counts as one!
3 parter opener of DS9 season 2 :
just one Li Nalas for me, thanks.
That episode shall be Rascals
Why do I find older Star Trek so cozy? Is it just nostalgia? The relatively utopian view of the future? The competence of the characters? The fact that each episode has a tidy ending instead of a cliffhanger?
The fact that each episode has a tidy ending instead of a cliffhanger?
Unless it's a 2 parter. Of course, you wouldn't rob yourself the satisfaction of simply watching both episodes back to back.
Or a 3 parter! The Circle trilogy was so much fun.
Which "Best of Both Worlds" technically is, where "Family" serves as the catharsis to Picard's ordeal.
Man, they did Robert dirty :-(
Offscreen death bullshit!
This definitely is why I seem to like TNG and VOY over DS9, although I know I'm only one of like 5 people that don't like DS9 as much.
There's a whole Buffet of Star Trek to choose from now.
Until 1987 i kept streaming the few 79 episodes from TOS in a loop for years. Let that sink in.
streaming
1987
So you're a time traveler?
Well, a sort of analog live stream on a schedule published in various pulp paper publications.
According to ChatGPT there are 799 episodes of Star Trek from TNG onwards (this is just my personal preference… you may wish to include TOS and TAS)
At one a night, that will take over two years, in which time, there will doubtless be another series or four, plus extra seasons of the existing ones…
Amateurs
I'm reading the books. There's hundreds of it.
This is a very old recommendation for the order!
Not me! I am still trying to get through the last season of Babylon Five first...
After that, which of the newer series should I engage (hehe) with first - is chronological release the best way? I've watched everything up through to the end of Enterprise (yuck).
Well, you've amassed enough Trek knowledge that Lower Decks is worthwhile without getting lost on most of the references. Otherwise, Strange New Worlds provides enough familiarity whilst being more modern.
Thank you!:-)
I remember back in the late 90's when there were two episodes of TNG (reruns) every weeknight. Those were the days.
'episode', lol
