Throwing more fuel on the fire, are we, Donald? This won't look good for you in court.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

What court? Nothing ever happens, he has been pulling these stunts for so many years now. Consequences are almost nil

The man was literally arrested and appeared in court already.

This is nothing but more stochastic terrorism. Most of his supporters are too comfortable and too cowardly to do shit. But we do need to worry about the incel loser types who love to commit terrorist attacks.

The man was literally arrested and appeared in court already.

Multiple times. And yet he walks free, passport in hand, foreign governments lavishing money on his closer family members (who are also his business partners), supporters lavishing money on him to aid his ~~lifestyle~~ ~~defense fund~~ campaign.

And yet he walks free, passport in hand

That part I'll argue, he deserves special treatment here only because he is one of a handful of people in the country with round-the-clock Secret Service protection. The court doesn't need his passport, because the Secret Service can make sure he is available for his hearings. At this point, they are as much there for his handling as his protection.

He knows it, but also knows that if he ever declines their protection or dismisses them those judges will not be so lenient on him. It wouldn't surprise me if there's been an under-the-table deal where the court doesn't have to take his passport, because the Secret Service has actual possession of it, with no need to publicize it. In fact, has there been any evidence at all that Trump has traveled outside the country since the indictments?

The man was literally arrested and appeared in court already.

He was also literally allowed to walk free on his own recognizance on charges that anyone else would have been held without bail for.

He was also literally allowed to surrender himself voluntarily, and did not have to go through being handcuffed, perp-walked, or have his mugshot taken.

He was also literally allowed to keep his passport and has no travel restrictions even though his all-but-unlimited resources and private planes make him the textbook definition of a flight risk.

He is also literally being coddled by his hand-picked judge in one of the cases, who has repeatedly ruled in his favor multiple times already and said he deserves special treatment because of who he is.

He is also literally continuing to engage in the exact behavior that got him in legal trouble in the first place, and openly daring people to do something about it.

The fact that he was arrested means jack shit. He has never suffered actual consequences a day in his life beyond a few fines that wouldn't even amount to a rounding error on his tax forms. Even in the cases he's facing, many believe that even if he is found guilty, the chances of him seeing jail time are low because of the logistics involved with jailing a former president. At worst, he'll be sentenced to house arrest where after the first 27 or so times he violates the terms of his house arrest, they might hold a hearing to politely ask him not to do it again or next time they'll have to say "or else".

Why are we even dignifying this by sharing it? He doesn't deserve the attention.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That’s what everyone said last time, then people died. “Ignore it and it’ll go away” doesn’t work when literally millions of people still listen to this man.

[–] Decoy321 1 points 1 year ago

I'm not saying ignore the man." I agree in that being actively dangerous. I''m saying we shouldn't help him keep engagement by sharing every stupid fucking thing he says. It's a deliberate way they help keep narratives shifted in their favor.

We should pay attention to the news ABOUT him, not the news FROM him.

That's been done so we can count that out

So... ear stuff?

No one's given me a million dollars. You're free to do that to me, Don.

My mom is one of those people. She keeps telling me to rack up a ton of debt because she thinks it'll all just get forgiven

Oh? So is it Jan 6 part 2? Oh man I Did Nazi That Coming!

[–] dhork 7 points 1 year ago

It's worse than that. The audio from this came from an interview with Rush Limbaugh right before the 2020 election. The original context of it can be seen as leading up to Jan 6. The fact that it is resurfacing (with Trump's approval) means there is more coming.

[–] MossBear 15 points 1 year ago

It'll never not be alarming that this is where we're at. From Dan Quayle misspelling potato being disqualifying to this...

[–] Gradually_Adjusting 14 points 1 year ago

Do you think that's how he talks to the children he fucked?

[–] Revezd 11 points 1 year ago

[–] YoBuckStopsHere 1 points 1 year ago

Trump was so vague for all we know that is what he meant.

Why do his farts sound like the horns from War of the Worlds?
