They should try, like, telling people about it. Do the politician thing and the pointing out thing about how and why it’s bad when doing the knocking on doors thing.

I've seen it mentioned by quite a few democratic candidates and politicians. Did you have somewhere specific you think it should have been posted or talked about?

Kind of feels too late to ask but I'd rather hear it from someone here: what is Project 2025?

[–] [email protected] 37 points 2 weeks ago

It is the US conservative plan to end democracy and establish a right-wing one-party state with theocratic principles.

You know how in dystopian stories how it always starts like 50 years after the fascists take power? Project 2025 is the plan to put the fascists into power. It pretty much places trump as dictator by putting into place all the people who will follow through this time.

Hm, "plotting". Interesting snarl word there.

Foolproof plan

Step 1. Make noise about it

Step 2. Go with it to not upset the Moderate Republican

This is the best summary I could come up with:

As The Independent previously reported, the plan would roll out a blitzkrieg of firings across federal agencies to open the door for an army of Trump loyalists to weaponize the government against his rivals.

That consolidation of power would also insulate him against legal threats and usher in a wave of attacks against immigrants, reproductive healthcare and civil rights protections for LGBT+ people.

“Project 2025 is more than an idea, it’s a dystopian plot that’s already in motion to dismantle our democratic institutions, abolish checks and balances, chip away at church-state separation, and impose a far-right agenda that infringes on basic liberties and violates public will,” Huffman said in a statement on June 11.

“And their attacks don’t stop with abortion,” according to Karen Stone, vice president of public policy and government relations with Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

“Project 2025 will not be ‘stopped’ by an unserious, mistake-riddled press release or a task force of House Democrats lacking a basic understanding of federal governance,” Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said in a statement.

“The task force launched by House Democrats only underscores the Left’s fear of losing its grip on their authoritarian bureaucracy ... We will not give up and we will win.”

The original article contains 586 words, the summary contains 203 words. Saved 65%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!

They're basically laughing in our faces.

Well, they have almost limitless billionaire foundation money to manipulate the population. Billionaires control most media and push the conversation right across the spectrum. They control many state governments, the house, and the supreme court. They have right wing and anti-US foreign governments aiding their movement for their own interests. They definitely have the right infrastructure and conditions in place to make this happen sadly.

Sounds like the citizens of the united States could step up to the plate. Spread that shit like Trump let COVID.
