Ukraine should be allowed to strike military bases on Russian territory from which Moscow carries out missile attacks against Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron said on May 28, Le Monde reported.

"We think that we should allow them to neutralize military sites where missiles are fired, from where... Ukraine is attacked," Macron said at a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. "If we tell them that you are not allowed to target the place from which missiles are fired, we are in fact telling them that we are providing you with weapons but you cannot defend yourself."

It shocks me that this has to be stated. It's like yelling "no hit backs" when you punch your sibling. Yeah. Strike back. Neutralize the attacker. Fuck Russia, fuck Putin, Slava Ukraini.

They should be firing every rocket they have into Russia to make room for the new pallets coming in, although the GOP and Hungary are fucking with that process. Every bomb that goes off inside their border is a soldier who doesn’t have to go downrange and a reminder that the citizens can’t ignore of how they’re breaking even with a former vassal. If every russkie south of Moscow is worried about random explosions in their town, public support is gonna turn quick despite the propaganda. Slava Ukraini

Appeasement is at this point an ingrained set of neuron pathways in every human. If only history or game theory could teach us the optimal strategy for when your bigger sibling comes to fuck your day up.

Appeasement or having Ukraine bleed Russia slowly rather than decisively kick them out. The US would rather keep Russia busy and weakened than back to their usual shenanigans. Sadly it's the Ukrainians who have to pay the heftier price of this.

Ukraine should be allowed to strike ~~military bases on~~ Russian territory ~~from which Moscow carries out missile attacks against Ukraine~~

I just want one drone to hit the Kremlin. It's not going to help, but it would be so satisfying.

That literally already happened. It was like a year ago. It caused minimal damage, but it was clearly just meant to be a “boop. Look what we can do if we want to” message.

Genuinely I think Putin might snap and nuke Ukraine if they pulled that off. The embarrassment alone would likely send Putin over the edge. Mans already moving nukes into range

Edit: apparently they already struck the Kremlin, so disregard. I can't keep up with literally everything happening over there

The Kremlin has already been hit by drones last year. No nuclear war. Instead you guys have forgotten about it.

Social media has made us perpetually naive.

How stupid must we all feel that we haven't simply told Russia they're not allowed to attack Ukraine? This could've been stopped a long time ago.

They signed the contract around 1993. They know.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 6 months ago (1 children)

They order the missiles to be fired from Moscow, yes?

[–] aeronmelon 3 points 6 months ago

They come straight from Putin's private bunker.

Give Ukraine the budget and free passes the world gives Isreal and the war would be over in a month. And Ukraine is fighting against an actual military.

Not even old and should've been doing this from the start. I'm sure they've had the capability for a while now.

Big Jupiter energy. I'm glad at least one European leader is saying it.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

I think the UK has also been saying this. David Cameron ( known for fucking a dead pigs gob and also being our foreign secretary ) talked about it in a trip to Ukraine.

Nuclear privilege that it's even a question.
