I still use these especially when down at the coast or other natural body of water. Rock cuts suck.

What did you call them? We said “aqua socks” but I’ve heard other catch-all terms.

Do we not use these anymore? I don't go swimming enough to know, but it seems like with water being dirtier than ever it's a good idea not to cut your feet in the sea

Water is absolutely not dirtier than ever, at least in the US. American waterways are the cleanest they have been in 100 years.

I've got 3 or 4 pairs, pick 'em up at thrift stores or on sale. Essential for kayaking, canoeing, etc.

What makes you think that water is dirtier than ever?

I absolutely use these, but mostly only when traveling, at which point they are my showering shoes.

I worry a lot about the possibility of getting foot fungus, so avoid direct contact when in a hotel shower.

The feeling of putting on a pair of these that is still damp and a little cold from the beach the day before depite being left out on the porch in the sun/overnight. Its a little cold and a little damp but it warms up quickly. The sand in them never goes away though.
