There were no monkeys when dinosaurs existed, also more time elapsed between the stegosaurus in the back existing and the t rex and triceratops than between them and us.

Doesn't mean they weren't checking their security system video feed every few million years. Monkeys spotted, time to head home!

And throughout it all...sharks.

Yeah, well try launching a ship full of water into orbit and see how far you get. The sea life is doomed to never explore space.

It’s kinda hard to explain, but we’ve dug up almost all of your ancestors’ bodies and put them on display. Ooh, and the kids love it.

we desecrated the bodies of billions of them to create disposable containers and fuel their delivery.

We don't make fuel or plastics from dinosaurs. We make fuel and plastics from ancient plankton and algae.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

I'm not sure they're really bodies anymore

[–] [email protected] 8 points 7 months ago (1 children)

That's not all we did with the bodies...

The TV series Earth: Final Conflict, made by Gene Roddenberry, had a story based on this premise:-).

Star Trek Voyager did too.

They ran across a race of super-advanced aliens in the Delta Quadrant that were evolved from dinosaurs.

I don't think I ever finished that show. I need to give it a revisit.
