Corrected title: Glass in front of Mona Lisa splattered in soup at Louvre Museum in Paris by food protesters

This happens so often it's kinda like a publicity button protestors can push for headlines.

You lost your job? Your wife an away with the post man? You are just grumpy?

Go splash the Mona Lisa's glass and all your troubles go away!

[–] fidodo 10 points 1 year ago

Won't fix it but a bunch of people will now know, so I guess that's something?

Is France still revolting and on fire? I havn't heard much about them since that other platform we came from went down the shitter.

From what i know the original mona lisa isn't even behind that glas... Still fucking idiotic to do that and that media makes a fuss about it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So where is the original Mona Lisa?

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Likely in a storage room in a Vault... Its way to much of a risk to not store the original somewhere else.

Is there any evidence to support your claim?

Source: dude just trust them

[–] [email protected] -2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Basically that most museums do that.

I see it becoming a tradition. When people are upset with something they throw soup at mona lisa. There will be an extra line just for this activity und windshield washer will be installed. Museum can even make some money by selling soup.

Yeah, take that Leonardo, that's what you get for your plight against sustainable agriculture! /s

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Wait till you find out what kind of paint Leonardo used. That bastard.

Is it time to cancel this DaVinci guy?

[–] ugjka 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

let's cancel all history and restart afresh

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Funny enough the GOP claims to be against cancel culture but simultaneously manages to completely ignore all relevant historical happenings as if we were starting off fresh.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece was left covered in what appeared to be tomato soup while the protesters made a speech about sustainable agriculture and the food supply chain.

Videos on social media show the activists wearing T-shirts with the words "Food Counterattack" written on them in French.

French farmers have been protesting and threatening roadblocks around Paris this month, demanding better pay and living conditions, Reuters reported.

The Mona Lisa has been the target of a number of protests and acts of vandalism over the years and has been protected by bulletproof glass since the 1950s after one person threw acid at it.

In 2009, a "disgruntled Russian woman" who had been denied French citizenship also threw a ceramic mug at the painting, per Harper's Bazaar.

In 2022, anti-oil protesters targeted the UK's National Gallery, throwing a can of tomato soup onto one of Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" paintings.

The original article contains 360 words, the summary contains 148 words. Saved 59%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!

Most people is wrong, the issue here isn't Climate crisis or Da Vinci being a sexist. It was just a bad soup, too bland.
