Clearly, it's the most moral thing to do... /s

He was obviously a shop-owner of a Hamas store!

[–] [email protected] 27 points 11 months ago

In the end, Hamas was all the bodies made along the way

[–] [email protected] 15 points 11 months ago

If only the IDF could read then they wouldn't have mistake the Hummus on display for Hamas.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 11 months ago

What the fuck.

[–] EdibleFriend 13 points 11 months ago (2 children)

We are disgusting species.

[–] m13 46 points 11 months ago (3 children)

It’s not us a “species” which is disgusting. It’s capitalism and a history of settler-colonialism which enforce disgusting behaviour.

Humans learn through language and culture. Yes at the moment the vast majority of humans blindly follow along in behaving in an abhorrent manner, but that doesn’t mean our fate is sealed or that we’re incapable of change, and building a new culture which encourages cooperative and better behaviour.

Yeah, capitalism is what caused all the world wars, even the little battles those guys with the swords did back in 900BC.

You can't just shift the blame for everything in the world on that one thing you hate, just doesn't work like that

[–] [email protected] 20 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Capitalism literally caused both world wars.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 10 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Sure, but a lot of other humans didn't. Can't much write off an entire species because we failed to prevent an outlier from gaining power for a little while.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Also can't much attribute all the complexities of both wars to just "capitalism" either. That was my point.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yes you can? Capitalism was very much at the root of the conflict. It can accurately be reduced to capitalism. You can elaborate and provide further detail to how it happened, but that doesn't change the big picture.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Of course you can over-simplify everything. You can do whatever you want!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 11 months ago

There is a difference between simplifying and oversimplifying. Just like there is a difference between nuance and losing the forest for the trees.

[–] LufyCZ -1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Wasn't it a couple lads with hurt feelings?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 11 months ago

The larger causes were interimperial squabbling which is inevitable when capitalism reaches the stage of competing for foreign markets.

[–] markr 7 points 11 months ago

Look at it this way: industrialized warfare required capitalism.

[–] skeezix 0 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Those guys with the swords in 900bc were fighting over the ability to hoard and exploit available resources and value. That’s capitalism.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

So what do you call whenever it’s two communist regimes that are fighting over resources

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Good propaganda.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 11 months ago

It's never the disgusting species — it's always some disgusting bipedal animal with insufficient humanity.

[–] TokenBoomer 12 points 11 months ago

Al-Jizzeera is a not a reliable source and funded by the Cutter gub’ment. /s

[–] [email protected] 11 points 11 months ago

safety is no accident

[–] [email protected] 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Notice how nobody threw stones at the man? Contrast that to what Israel does to Hamas's "human shields".

[–] Potatofish -1 points 11 months ago

What? They'd have to be throwing boulders. What are you smoking?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 11 months ago

"Every israel accusation is a confession "

[–] Linkerbaan 0 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

The shopkeeper was clearly using those two soldiers behind him as a human shield to cover his back. Those soldiers feared for their lives
