He never claimed to be an absolutist. He never planned in allowing things like vioent threats, for example.
And he's right about those terms - they are used as slurs to shut down discussion. It's a quick and easy way to belittle someone and trivialize their argument.
The only people who think cis is a slur are the ones who use trans as a slur.
They think any descriptor but "normal" is a slur because anyone who isn't cis, hetero, and white is seen as lesser by them.
Here he is making that exact claim in 2022 before deleting it once it became inconvenient
