Because half of the FBI are Trump Sympathizers. It is why a lot of the bs happening doesn't get checked when it needs to.
Half the judges too.
Well, we know for sure Cannon and Thomas are, and are willing to do pretty much anything they can get away with.
But Trump isn't getting everything he wants in court in most cases. The DC Appeals court is absolutely done with his bullshit at this point.
I don't think SCOTUS has jurisdiction over this trial anyway. Especially since it's now in the penalty phase, something Trump apparently hasn't grasped yet, which is why he wanted to give closing arguments.
And that's because a lot of them were appointed by trump because the Senate Republicans under Obama in his last term (when they got control of the Senate) held those seats open until the next Republican president was elected
Which they will do again if Joe Biden is re-elected. Although he has managed to get a decent number of judges on the Federal bench.
*If he's reelected and control of the House and Senate doesn't land in Democrat's hands
But these people are also very self-serving. They will look out for their own class, which is judges in this case. Even if they think that this particular judge is horrible, they will definitely back taking action to protect judges in general.

There has been evidence of this, especially during the police protests a couple years ago. There has also been a great deal of cleanup performed here. I don't think it's probably as bad or common as you fear, but I fully understand why you feel that way.
