Whenever someone tells me it's part of their heritage I challenge them to name the relative in question. When they try to make excuses about no one remembering that far back I drop that Jeb Stuart was my Great-Great-Great Grand Uncle and that I'm glad he's dead.
I bring up my great-great-granduncle Simian, who was a major in the Minnesota 1st.
