There are a lot of communities I follow there, especially the Mlem app updates.

All the posts there as seen from here are stale and several days old. If I go to Lemmy.ml directly, there is a vibrant activity.

Lemmy.world has not yet upgraded to the new update that was pushed a couple of days ago because they are waiting on the captcha support coming in the next update (which should be soon). Once lemmy.world upgrades to the most recent version of lemmy (I think 2.8.1?), all the posts will sync again. Right now we are not syncing.

How does the version 2.8.1 compare to 0.18.1? Are they related?

Reminds me of the IRC days when efnet servers would split and reconnect with different users trying to steal ops on chatzone.
