@Phogger interesting 🤔 the inner scientist in me wants to sit you down in front of a variety of tomato types and prepared different ways to nail down exactly what about them makes you dislike them but be ok with when they're in something else haha. Though I imagine this would not be as fun for you.

So they're ok in like ketchup or paste or sauce but not whole? What's your take on them in sandwiches? Or sprinkled with sugar? Or chunky sauce?

I think the taste of raw tomatoes just bothers me. Keep them away from my sandwich, and I never tried them with sugar because I didn’t know that was a thing that existed until right now. Sauces lose points the chunkier they get.
Things like ketchup, marinara, not-chunky salsa and so on don’t taste like raw tomatoes so maybe that’s all it is. Interestingly, I do like sun-dried tomatoes in a salad or maybe on a pizza.

@Phogger Hah I find that kinda funny - that there's a precise chunky to saucy ratio that must be achieved for not-too-tomato-ish sauce 🍅 😋

My mom used to slice up tomatoes and do the sugar sprinkle as a quick summertime snack. Pretty refreshing and, at least to me, changes the flavor profile of the tomatoes. Maybe you'll like it 🤷

I will certainly try to remember this the next time tomatoes are about. You never know right?
