I don't not support the Ukrainian people and I don't support the actions of the Russian ruling class. I understand how western imperialists knowingly agitated for this war as a bid to harm Russia at the expense of the Ukrainian working class who are dying for their proxy war. This is an inter-bourgeois conflict over territorial power and resources fought by the working class while the palestinian genocide is a settler colonial slaughter, the fight is between the settler state and indigenous population. Vastly different conflicts with vastly different participants and vastly different reasons for occuring. They should be treated as such.

I want the war in Ukraine to end and I don't care who gets the resources because it makes no difference to the Ukrainian workers. Either way they are ruled by an undemocratic regime with ownership of their resources and production.

Humans are complex creatures and their behavior is impacted by a litany of circumstances, including during wartime

Nuhuh people just do stuff

What a conversation lol

Yeah I had to smoke after that one. Idealism is a plague

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart 1 points 6 days ago

I fully agree with you on that statement.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

All the Russians had to do was stay in their own country.

You’re over complicating a fairly simple situation.

Your refusal to understand or value the important material conditions that cause war will leave you vulnerable to the propaganda of your empire.

Russia caused war when they invaded Ukraine.

They caused it again when they did it again.

Yes, all human conflicts start when someone has the idea of starting them lmao. No other reasons of course, nothing else could possibly matter but the one guy with the idea. I'm sure you think WW1 would never have happened if that one guy didn't have the idea of killing Franz Ferdinand.

You explain war like a child explains a fight to their mother.

No but I’m pretty sure Japan wouldn’t have been nuked if the US didn’t drop it on them.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (1 children)

I don't see how that is relevant to Russia

Are you suggesting the US nuked Japan just because someone had the idea that they should do it and not as a way to express a geopolitical threat and test nuclear weapons on large civilian centers for possible future use? Are you suggesting that the expansionist economic structure had nothing to do with this?

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Again, you’re over complicating it.

Just reread my comment exactly how I wrote it that’s how I meant it.

Then your underatanding of the world is far too simplistic

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It’s quite possible.

I also have quite a bit of family in Ukraine and have spent a while there too.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (1 children)

I'm sorry to hear you have family in Ukraine. I hope they make it through this okay. Wars like this don't have to happen to us and I want to build a world where no one is incentivized to start them. But to do that I must start by understanding the conditions that cause them to be rational to someone. Not just the people who make the decision. It almost always boils down to capitalism and I hope you take a closer look one day.
