You can do racist jokes, no subject is off limits to a good comedians. They still exsist. The problem is when you are not joking and supporting people that openly support nazi or klan believes.
Example: Bill Burr makes a black joke, I laugh.
Michael Richards or Roseanne Barr makes the same joke, I believe we see into there actual believes.
rickles! he was the king of risky but funny
Jimmy Carr will specifically tell offensive jokes, he understands what a joke is and how to write a good one.
Yeah the term "racist joke" causes a ton of unintentional damage. Invoking the stereotypes, even playing a character who believes them with a big "kick me" target on your back, isn't racist. It's absurdist. Because racism is absurd. And laughing at absurd things is funny. Laughing dumb shit out of the room is overwhelmingly the most effective (not to mention most fun!) way to get rid of it.
These nazi cunts say stupid shit and mean it. Then they bitch out and try to use joking, which they weren't doing, as an excuse, with the poker face of a lying toddler.
And then fucking people on the left refuse to acknowledge the difference and nobody wants to hang out because it's like inviting HR to a party.
