Call me sexist but the word woman itself irks me, it's one of those words that no matter how many times I write it it still looks wrong. It's not a hate thing for me it's just a strange looking word that I'd rather not write.
Honestly I kinda feel you on that, I'd default to "ladies" as I see it as the opposite of my typically used "guys," (or would that be "Dolls?" lol, theater joke) but some of them don't like that either. "Woman" is basically the only one I haven't seen someone complain about yet.
