My bad, everyone. I'm on mobile rn and use NewPipe and forgot that the links shared there are pure YouTube.
Is Pipe operating like a VPN, scrubbing viewer data from Youtube?
I'm not sure. What I can tell you, is that I blocked YouTube domains at home, but Piped still played, which makes me think that the videos aren't served directly from the YouTube domains.
It's the recognition that counts. :)
