Downsides and upsides are what you’ve listed here. Also, resin isn’t just stinky, it’s toxic, and setup and tear down is a pain in the ass.

Like a HUGE pain in the ass,

Resin prints are also brittle, so unless your just using it for minis, FDM is still more useful/ fun

OK perfect confirming what I thought - the have their uses but I have no interest in minis and don't need anything more detailed than I can get at 0.12 layer height
